Gov. Crist due in Tampa for elections chief interviews

Gov. Charlie Crist will be in Tampa today to reportedly interview six of the more than 20 applicants vying for an interim post as Hillsborough County Elections Supervisor.
The replacement would finish out the term of Phyllis Busansky, who died last month.
According to political blog The Buzz, the governor remained coy as to what he's looking for in an appointee who would fill the $132,000 post until the November 2010 general election.
"I would consider all," Crist reportedly told the staff of the St. Petersburg Times.
With an average of more than a person a day seeking the position, Crist's office has indicated that he has not set a deadline for naming the replacement.
The field of announced candidates includes:
• Arthur Richardson III, 30, CFO/ Business Owner.
• Janet Dougherty, 47, environmental consultant.
• David Agliano, 52, former owner of Valencia Garden restaurant.
• Victor Crist, 52, state senator representing the 12th District.
• Gary Santti, 55, unemployed civil engineer.
• Joe Robinson, 55, engineering consultant.
• Sandy Murman, 58, former state Representative, District 56.
• Charles Hart III, 64, business consultant, was a Hillsborough County commissioner for eight years.
• Earl Lennard, 67, former superintendent of Hills borough County schools from 1996 to 2005.
